Adjuvant Breast Cancer
In the NSABP B-14 study, women with axillary node-negative breast cancer were randomized to 5 years of NOLVADEX 20 mg/day or placebo following primary surgery. The reported adverse effects are tabulated below (mean follow-up of approximately 6.8 years) showing adverse events more common on NOLVADEX than on placebo. The incidence of hot flashes (64% vs. 48%), vaginal discharge (30% vs. 15%), and irregular menses (25% vs. 19%) were higher with NOLVADEX compared with placebo. All other adverse effects occurred with similar frequency in the 2 treatment groups, with the exception of thrombotic events; a higher incidence was seen in NOLVADEX-treated patients (through 5 years, 1.7% vs. 0.4%). Two of the patients treated with NOLVADEX who had thrombotic events died.

What is the best way to keep a bald head from sweating?
I know that sweating is good for the body but this is excessive and unsightly.
Well to be honest, sweating is actually a good thing. You shouldn’t prevent yourself from sweating. It’s what keeps your body cool….and alive. But if you must, where a hat/cap/beanie to absorb it.
any way to stop sweating from my head?
if any one knows how to plz tell me
is there a shampoo like degree clincal proctetion ? and if so how much does it cost
can caffine and fizzy drink cause you to sweat!!???
Sweating is the body’s way to regulate temperature. IF you didn’t, you’d overheat and maybe faint. But lay off stimulants like caffeine and nicotine. Fizzy drinks. Try water instead. Better for you.
how can i stop my head/hair from sweating ?
whenever i go out dancing the only part of my body that sweats bad is my hair line and face which causes my hair to get wet and look like i just got out of a shower its gross !! i want to know if there is anything i can do to prevent my hair line from sweating
Generally, OTC antiperspirants are used for profuse sweating or hyperhidrosis. The most effective are those that contain aluminium chlorohydrate. But, such preparations may themselves cause irritation. Inflammation and infection can result from the combined effect of shaving and chemicals.
There are also conventional oral medications for controlling sweating, but again unpleasant side effects may occur and they should be used only for extreme cases. These work by drying bodily secretions, and tend to come with unwanted side-effects such as dry mouth, blurry vision, dizziness and cardiovascular concerns. As a last resort, there are surgical procedures to control perspiration, but they are usually reserved for cases resistant to all other form of treatment.
Natural Remedies
Many people are now turning to natural remedies as a first step towards treating excessive sweating caused by overactive sweat glands. There are a number of natural ingredients that can help reduce sweating and treat some of the underlying causes. Nat mur. helps to reduce excessive sweating and clamminess.
Lupulus as well as Castoreum and Argentum Nitricum help to address sweating, especially when related to nervousness, panic, anxiety, or obsessive thoughts. Lastly the ingredient Syphilinum helps to control fluid levels in the body, while also helping to control body odor which commonly accompanies excessive sweating.

My fiance suffers from extreme sweating from his head at night? Can anyone help with a cause or solution?
I am prone to abnormally excessive and profuse sweating, especially from the head, face and back. Why?
Can someone tell me the cause of this condition and how I can control it? Do I have a medical condition here?
No, not a medical condition, just a B12 & B2 vitamin deficiency !! Is your tongue and mouth red and sore? The skin around your fingernails cracked and split? Underneath your eyelids feels all sandy and grainy?? Stressed, irritability, heart palpitations, dizziness??? Fatigue/exhaustion??
These are all B2 (Riboflavin) and B12 deficiencies.
The recommended daily intake for B12 is 2mcg.
B12 will increase your energy levels, maintain a healthy nervous system, relieve irritability, improve concentration, memory and balance.
Best natural sources are liver, beef, pork, fish, eggs, milk and cheese.
Because B12 is not absorbed well through the stomach go get yourself a good quality multivitamin B complex supplement from the chemist. Just ask the pharmacist for assistance on which brand is a good quality one to buy.
If you are a vegetaian and have excluded eggs and dairy products from your diet, then you need B12 supplementation. Surprisingly, heavy protein consumers may also need extra amounts of this vitamin, which works synergistically with almost all other B vitamins, as well as vitamins A,E, and C.
The recommended daily intake for B2 if 1.2 – 1.7mg for adults. Increased amounts are need in stress situations. America’s most common vitamin deficiency is B2.
B2 will promote healthy skin, nails and hair, eliminate sore mouth, lips and tongue, benefit vision and alleviate eye fatigue.
Best natural sources for B2 are milk, liver, kidney, cheese, leafy green vegies, fish, eggs, yoghurt and beans.
If you eat little red meat or dairy products you should increase your intake.
As with B12, you would be best to also take supplementation with B2. B2 will be also included in your multivitamin B complex tablet.
PEACE & GOOD HEALTH TO YOU

What does it mean when I don’t sweat from my head and face?
I want to be able to sweat from my head!! Especially since I get dead skin build-up fast!!
This last part isn’t gross: My face also gets red after a good workout. I find that my face doesn’t “breathe” well. Can anyone give me advice, like a suggested diet, or doing something I’m not doing for overall health? (keep in mind I don not exercise regularly)
Maybe you don’t have pores on your face… jk
Sweating means that your body is trying to cool itself off, and when you sweat your body is regulating properly. If you don’t, then your body isn’t regulating properly.. exercise might affect your sweating problems… i’m not too sure.
Some people are different, i know tons of ppl who dont sweat a lot. I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Though you should try to keep a healthy diet, and exercise regularly though. If not sweating worries you that much, go see a doctor.
what can i use to reduce sweating from my head?

If a young boy only sweats from the head, how do you treat it?
OK my son is almost 11 and he ONLY sweats from his head! He could be out all day doing heavy activities and his pits have no odor but his head is sweaty and smelly. I know which deodorants to get him once he gets a bit older for his pits but this is his head. I’ve seen the doctor and he doesn’t have a head fungus or anything, he is just sweaty and smelly. I’ve shaved his head for the summer but that hasn’t done anything except make him more cooler, and he bathes everyday. His head smells fine after a bath/shower until he does something sweaty. Do I use a spray on his head? or something else?
Couldn’t be any funnier!!!!
If I sweat everyday from my head and the rest of my body, should I take a shower everyday ?
If I sweat everyday from my head and the rest of my body, should I take a shower everyday ?
yes i would defiantly suggest taking a shower everday or it probably wont be good for your skin, and your body odor.
my child has a sweating from head?
my doughter has a sweating from head, she doesn’t have a fever.sometimes her hair is getting all wet.what can be the reason of this?
how old is your daughter ?- newborns cant regulate their temperature until about 18 months old – then from this time they will sweat if they get too hot, especially in their sleep and if there is no fever or illness, sweating is simply the body cooling itself down, unlike when she was a tiny baby, if in doubt look at http://www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk/, other reasons could be teething or ear infection
constantly sweating from my head! anyone esle getting this?
it’s now come to the stage where i have to tie my hair back at all times as my head wont stop sweating? forhead is constantly wet so cannot wear my hair down as it just sticks to my forehead.

Why do I have hot flushed feelings from head to toe when i go to the doctor?
It feels like I am sweating from head to toe and I start to get palpatation and my heart starts to go fast and sweat. Is it anxiety? Or panic attacks?
Unfortunately only a doctor would be able to either diagnose the condition accurately based on observation or prescribe a course of action e.g counselling to get to the root of your anxiety.
Based on personal experiences,it could also be an indication of discomfort with the particular doctor due to treatment received before. There’s this doctor at my health centre who always seems to be in a rush to dismiss rather than listen. Every time I had an appointment with her I felt so rushed and misdiagnosed and to be Truly honest, there’s not a single diagnosis she’s ever got right with me. This unfortunately used to make me very uncomfortable especially when it was an urgent appointment and she was the only one available.
In the end I specifically asked not to be seen by her;and what do you know? No more nervousness. Good luck.
Why is it that we sweat soo much from the head?
Have you people noticed that when ever we excercise we happen to sweat more or first from the head. Why is that?. I myself like to workout, the few excersices I do are pushups, stretching, basketball, running, and weights; and I always sweat from the face/head first. I’m just curious about why is it that happens.
Thank you

Is there a natural way of controlling my excessive sweating from head to toes?
I am 16 years old. My problem is excessive sweating all over ….from head to toes…I have tried different powders and lotion, but still , they have not solved my problem. This really causes me insecurities, avoiding social gatherings.
this is called hyperhydrosis..and unfortunately some dr’s are way too happy to operate on a healthy body. many have been disabled by this surgery. the forum listed below has an entire section on sweat and remedies for it. what works for one person may not work for all, but try different combinations..something will work =)

This is a repeated one after about five years.I took magnesium phos 6X five tab at a time for five times in a span of two hours and got all symptoms relieved on the way to alopathy hospital. On check the heart beat, blood circulation & pulse found normal after observation of about an hour, I was told iam normal and send back to home.Any body specialised in Homeo or alopathy can explain me about the problem and guide me to over come.
You have to get yourself properly checked by a good doctor
It’s Summer? Guess I’ll head out and work on my base tan…
ich denke mit 3 Tonnen Haargel und 2 tonnen Haarspray oder so !
I like the quote too and the second part is also worthy of consideration…………..
The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years.
Great nations rise and fall. The people go from bondage to spiritual truth, to great courage, from courage to liberty, from liberty to abundance, from abundance to selfishness, from selfishness to complacency, from complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependence, from dependence back again to bondage.
